Emerson Avenue Construction Project - City Project 26-1

The Emerson Avenue Construction Project is currently in the design phase. Emerson Avenue is planned to be reconstructed from Delaware Avenue to Charlton Street, and milled and overlaid from Charlton Street to Oakdale Avenue. We expect design to wrap up in January, with bidding to occur in February. Project work is expected to start in May 2026 and be completed in October 2026. A 6ft wide sidewalk is planned to be constructed along the south side of Emerson Avenue from Delaware Avenue to Robert Street, and along the north side of Emerson Avenue from Robert Street to Oakdale Avenue. Parking will be maintained on one side of Emerson Avenue, with the exception of where there is no parking already today.
